Hotel and Catering Training Centre (HCTC) is approved by
Mauritius Qualification Authority (MQA) to deliver courses in Cooking and Pastry. The promoter and founder of HCTC is chef Mougam Pareatumbee, known by all
Mauritius through the cooking TV programmes diffused by the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation in 1990 1991 and 1998 - 2000. The TV
program was not sufficient as there was a very big interest from the public to learn and eat better.
Chef Mougam started his career 28 years ago at Le Saint Gιran Hotel, he then attended Hotel and Catering Training School in Curepipe, after which he attended the Kenya Utalii College in Nairobi from 1983 to 1985. He has all the experiences from dishwasher to the position of Executive Chef. He also
travelled around the world to learn, visited various hotel schools, food shows and exhibitions in Berlin, Australia, Seychelles,
South Africa, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand.
